BWE Spring 2024 Eagle Extension

About Eagle Extensions

Eagle Extensions is an enrichment program for Big Walnut students currently in grades kindergarten - 6th grade. Clubs will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Clubs with less than 15 registered students will be cancelled. Hometown ticketing will be used for all signups and payment will be taken at the time of sign-up.

Activities are as follows:

  • Get out and Play with Mr. Clewell - Thursdays (3:30-4:30 PM) Grades 2-4
  • Digital Explorers with Mr. Clewell - Tuesdays (3:30-4:30 PM) Grades K-1
  • Coding with Mr. Clewell - Wednesdays (3:30-4:30 PM) Grades 2-4
  • Music Makers with Ms. Byahatti - Tuesdays (3:30-4:30 PM) Grades 2-4
  • Music Play with Ms. Byahatti - Wednesdays (3:30-4:30 PM) Grades K-1
  • Get out and play with Mr. Clewell - Thursdays (3:30 - 4:30 PM) Grades K-1 (will start 4/15)
  • Makers Space - Wednesdays (3:30 - 4:30 PM) Grades 2-4
  • Coding - Tuesdays (3:30 - 4:30 PM) Grades K-4
  • Lego Club - Mondays (3:30 - 4:30 PM) Grades K-2

**Normal classroom behavior is expected. Eagle Extensions are intended to be a fun learning experience. The instructor will write up disruptive behavior and the student will be verbally warned. Continuous disruptive behavior will result in permanent dismissal from the class. Parents will be notified by the Eagle Extension Coordinator of their child's dismissal. All other school rules and regulations found in the student handbook apply to Eagle Extensions.

After-School Digital Explorer Club! Tailored for kindergarteners & 1st graders, our program offers an engaging environment where young learners delve into digital citizenship, computer science, & typing skills. Through interactive activities, students explore online safety, animation, & keyboard proficiency, fostering responsible digital behavior & empowering them to navigate the digital world confidently. There will also be an emphasis on digital balance leading to some outdoor play as well.
