Souders Spring 2024 Eagle Extension

Eagle Extensions is an enrichment program for Big Walnut students currently in grades kindergarten - 6th grade. Clubs will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Clubs with less than 15 registered students will be cancelled. Hometown ticketing will be used for all signups and payment will be taken at the time of sign-up.


Activities are as follows:

  • Games Galore: Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM with Mr. Van Arsdale (Grades 2-4)
  • Chess Challengers: Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM with Ms. Johnson (Grades 3-4)

**Normal classroom behavior is expected. Eagle Extensions are intended to be a fun learning experience. The instructor will write up disruptive behavior and the student will be verbally warned. Continuous disruptive behavior will result in permanent dismissal from the class. Parents will be notified by the Eagle Extension Coordinator of their child's dismissal. All other school rules and regulations found in the student handbook apply to Eagle Extensions.

Join us for 5 day of fun and games galore in the Souders gym! This session will include over 20 different individual and team games that are played with and without physical education equipment. All games will include elements of sports, teamwork, tag and/or movement! Whether games that are fast or slow, brand new games or games you know, in this session you are sure to have a ball!

Whether you are a chess champ, or you're a rookie with a rook, you will have fun playing "The Game of Kings". Experienced players will find new opponents to keep them on their toes, and new players will quickly learn how to play the world's oldest battle strategy game. Everyone will have a good time!
